I Make Works that Are Books in Clay

Sometimes I wonder if I am not more of a philosopher than an artist. An artist-philosopher, I make works that are in fact books in clay — the raw material of ceramics — beneath the earth. If I am interested in durability, it is because I hold dear the continuity of the democratic issues my work explores 1.
