Only trust Artists

For his project Dead Man’s Switch, Andrei Molodkin held legally acquired masterpieces of Western art ‘hostage’ to safeguard the life of Julian Assange. Now that the Wikileaks founder has been released from prison, how does the artist perceive its impact?

Everyone who has a great hope
And who would like to fight for it
And defend life
I consider an artist.
Because it means that you choose your position
And you take responsibility for it
in person.
