Joar Nango’s ‘Girjegumpi: The Sámi Architectural Library’ was exhibited for the first time in Harstad, a small Norwegian town south of Tromsø, during the 2018 Arctic Arts Festival. In 2023, this library represented the Nordic countries in the Nordic Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale. Joar Nango, a Sámi artist and architect, previously presented the Library in Bergen, Ottawa and Oslo and its next stops are at ArkDes in Stockholm and the Sprengel Museum in Hannover, which award (…)
