Sorana Munsya

Sorana Munsya is an independent curator based in Brussels and an editor at GLEAN. She is interested in notions of fugitivity, opacity and healing as they relate to Blackness, especially in the context of Western art institutions. Focusing on contemporary visual art by Black artists, she has curated group shows such as ‘The Act of Breathing’ (2022, KANAL-Centre Pompidou) and solo shows by Joud Toamah (2022, Photoforum Pasquart, Biel), Leonard Pongo (2021, Bozar) and Michèle Magema (2021, KunshalEextra City). She was assistant curator of the 5th Lubumbashi Biennale of Contemporary Art and has contributed to numerous art catalogs.
