Elena Sorokina

Elena Sorokina is a curator and art historian with a focus on sustainable curating and practices situated at the intersection of art, ecology and care. She has curated projects for international institutions and biennials, including BOZAR, Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Art Moderne Paris, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Pera Museum Istanbul. She served as curatorial advisor of documenta 14 in Athens/Kassel and was chief curator of the High Institute of Fine Arts (HISK) from 2017 to 2018. She co-curated the Armenian Pavilion at the 2022 Venice Biennale. She teaches and lectures internationally and is currently an invited expert of the Creative Europe Programme.
